12 portals join PPRD Internet Media League

On September 4th, 12 media portals announced to join the Internet Media League of the Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) Regional Cooperation during the 2nd Internet Media Forum in Guangzhou. This is a sub-forum of the 12th PPRD Cooperation & Development Forum and Economic & Trade Fair, which kicks off yesterday (Sep. 5th).
The 12 new members are Foshan News, Dayoo.com, sznews.com, zhunews.net, takungpao.com, hkcd.com, macaodaily.com and so on.
At the same time, the PPRD Online Media Report exhibiting the achievements and processes the league has made was released during the forum.

Among the attendees were Zhao Yanlong, Deputy Director-general of the Internet Information Communication Bureau from the Office of the Central Leading Group of Cyberspace Affairs, Huang Bin, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department of Guangdong CPC Committee and Head of the Office of Cyberspace Administration of Guangdong Province, Hu Jian, CEO of Southcn.com and Nanfang Plus App, and Mao Ning, vice president of jxnews.com.cn.
Zhao made a keynote speech at the forum. He emphasized that the forum should encourage members to discuss how to use the tools of big data and AI, explore the way to reconstruct media development mode in the digital economic era, and finally gather momentum towards the regional economy in PPRD region.
Huang said that during the past two years the league has established a mechanism to boost daily connection between members, enhancing cooperation in information sharing, media development study and so on.
Hu also pointed out that the PPRD Media League aims to set up multi-terminal and all-round shared channels and form strong cooperative media matrix. In this way, a good media environment can be created for further cooperation and the influence of each members will be enhanced.
Mao presented an initiative titled “PPRD Media League Cooperation Initiative” at the forum, and indicated that the league should establish omnimedia communication system, offer customized information and build a media think tank.
